About Gender Confirmation Center:

At Gender Confirmation Of San Francisco we strive to empower transgender and gender expansive folks to explore their authentic selves. Our services to the trans community include, but are not limited to; gender confirming surgeries, a comprehensive web page and overall community engagement (Gender Spectrum, WPATH, Philly Trans Health, Trans March, Gender Odyssey are just a few).

Our overarching goal is to  provide the trans community a variety of platforms to engage with oneself, one another and the world at large to foster positivity in the face of adversity.

Position Summary:

As our website coder you would be working independently under the direction of the Director of Community Engagement. You would ensure the smooth operation of our website genderconfirmation.com. The coder and Director may meet in the East Bay Area in person periodically depending on the project, but aside from that you will work remotely with occasional phone calls.

This is contract position, non benefited, part time with the opportunity for more hours based on coding needs.

Responsibilities:

Under guidance from the Director you assist in: Design functionality/layout of website, Google Analytics clean up, search function issues, remove old pages Google indexes, clean up XML sitemaps, SEO.

Qualifications:

• Highly skilled coder versed in Google Compliant coding
• Know how to clean up XML sitemaps
• Have some understanding of SEO and how to integrate that with website design
• Have experience/knowledge of transgender and gender expansive folks
• Be inclusive of all gender identities
• Ability to intentionally communicate both written and spoken
• Thrives in collaborative environments
• Self starter a must
• Ability to meet firm deadlines
• Have a passion for the field of gender
• A creative person who wants to engage, have fun and build something really cool with other trans and gender expansive folks
