any questions or concerns regarding your insurance coverage. She has managed
to secure coverage for over 90% of our patients.

Obtaining Coverage
Jennifer starts by verifying whether your policy offers coverage for gender confirming surgery - this can be done even before you officially
decide to move forward with surgery. Consider consulting your insurance provider’s explanation of benefits online to investigate coverage.
Once you’ve chosen a surgeon at our practice, the next step is to gather all of the vital information from you and obtain authorization.
While our
insurance concierge does most of the “heavy lifting,” you and Jennifer are a team who speak regularly with each other during this process.
Once all appropriate documents are sent to the insurance company, there is a waiting period. Depending on your insurance, this can take 4-6 weeks or more.
Jennifer will keep you updated with the day the insurance company received your information and a tentative date when you should expect a response.
