Every patient is unique and has a different relationship to their bodies and experiences of discomfort or gender dysphoria/incongruence. For this reason, some patients choose to undergo multiple procedures on their journey towards physical and emotional well-being.
In addition to breast augmentation, there are a variety of other surgery options that can create a more conventionally feminine upper body and facial appearance, including:
The right procedures for you will ultimately depend on your cosmetic goals and expectations. Some patients choose only breast augmentation, while others desire additional surgeries.
During your consultation, our surgeons will work with you to design a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your individual goals and expectations, as well as your body type.
The recovery period necessary in between these surgical procedures is surprisingly short. The vast majority of patients feel comfortable resuming work and other light physical activity within a week of surgery. More strenuous physical activities should usually be avoided for at least a month. Most patients are healthy enough to pursue additional surgical procedures within four to six weeks of their breast augmentation or other surgical procedure. Of course, this is an estimate and recovery can vary greatly among patients. You and your surgeon will be able to determine when you are healed enough to undergo additional procedures.
In some cases, it’s possible to perform additional procedures at the same time as breast augmentation. Choosing to combine two or more procedures in the same surgery can reduce surgery-related costs and ultimately shorten your recovery time. However, it’s important to keep in mind that having multiple procedures at once may increase your risk of surgical complications. If you’re considering this option, your surgeon will be able to determine if you’re an ideal candidate during the consultation process.
