The Gender Confirmation Center does not provide crisis mental health services or have licensed mental health providers in our team. As such, we urge you to seek counsel from a licensed mental health expert for any urgent mental health needs. The following information is meant to provide resources for seeking mental health and crisis support outside of the Gender Confirmation Center. If you are experiencing a mental health or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
For many young people in the trans community, seeking gender-affirming social support and mental health care is a necessity during different stages of transitioning. Some trans youth experience gender dysphoria and discomfort, and in some cases, these feelings can either lead to or exacerbate other mental health concerns that might already be present, such as anxiety or depression.
If you are a young trans person and you are looking for mental health support, we are happy to provide these resources below. We encourage folks to share these resources within their communities.
